rjake48 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Just bought a 2002 Sc 430. Both key fobs will not open the trunk by pushing the button. All of the other buttons on both fobs work. Does anyone have an idea about what the problem may be? Thanks for your help.
NicLX470 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I know that my IS has a button inside the glovebox to lock-out the truck from being opened by everything except the manual key. I'm not sure if the SC has something like that but it's worth a try to look.
Aceflash Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Yes, the SC does have a switch in the glove compartment that will turn this function on and off. In addition when I first got my SC I thought the key fob button worked like the rest. Then I found out you need to hold the trunk release button down for 2 to 3 seconds before the trunk will open. Good Luck.
