gunguns
About a month ago I became proud owner of a 1998 es300 (105k mikes) from an original owner with all maintenance done at Lexus. On the first day of ownership the driver's side window controller cable broke. I discovered this great forum and following instructions, replaced the controller and put the door all back together. Through trial and error I adjusted the window so that most wind noise was eliminated. I used the paseenger side to determine the correct alignment of the window againt the rubber seal. I still hear some slight buffeting (?) wind noise when driving the car but don't know if this is as good as it gets. I have searched for a way to determine the correct alignment of the window but have not found anything. Any advice?
kashi125
Some wind noise is common in these cars. Had it in both my 97 and 99 ES.
Nacmias
My 00 has very slight wind noise from the drivers side window. I just turn up the radio a little bit and that eliminates everything.
