carpetman112
Probably a dumb question but how important is a new gasket when changing the tstat. Just replaced mine and now the housing is leaking and the heater isn't working. The old gasket seemed impossible to get out so i left it which was probably a mistake. I know i put the therm in the right way but I don't know if it's set in there properly. It seemed to just kinda dangle in there. I didn't know how to hold it in place while I replaced the housing. Anyway is it more than likely the gasket or the tstat not setting just right. I
