  1. My car won't go into overdrive 90% of the time. When it first started it was about 50% of the time but it has gotten worse. I'm not getting any transmission codes..I'm getting knock sensor 1 and 2 codes. P1135 heater ckt and p0125 insufficient temp for closed loop. I started with the p0125 and changed the thermostat but that wasn't my problem. Any suggestions before i waste any more time and money. I drive this car 60 miles a day which is hard to do with no overdrive. Thanks
  2. Probably a dumb question but how important is a new gasket when changing the tstat. Just replaced mine and now the housing is leaking and the heater isn't working. The old gasket seemed impossible to get out so i left it which was probably a mistake. I know i put the therm in the right way but I don't know if it's set in there properly. It seemed to just kinda dangle in there. I didn't know how to hold it in place while I replaced the housing. Anyway is it more than likely the gasket or the tstat not setting just right. I
  3. I'm trying to change my thermostat on my es300. I was first told to follow the upper hose to the housing so I took everything apart there to find out that's not where it is. I now know that it's on the lower hose. It doesn't look very easy to get to. Any tips to help me through with this? Never changed a thermostat and don't want to screw this up. The car won't shift into overdrive and a local mechanic told me this could be my problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
