dkimx004
PLEASE help me on this. I've done my research and an apparent fix for the INFAMOUS steering wheel shake at 60 MPH is to adjust the pre-tensioner on the steering rack. However, the DIY posts and pics are only for 99 models and up (1998 steering racks are different). I want to know if it is possible to adjust this on 98 models and also if anyone out there has been able to do this. If so, could you PLEASE share. As you know, this problem is very annoying and is something we shouldn't have to deal with. My buddy's commuter car is a 1997 toyota corrola with 250k miles and runs smoother than mine on the highway.
dkimx004
Forget the prior post. I found the answer through more research and speaking with a tech. If someone out there can benefit from this, check out my reply to another post. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=59280
