Accelerates While Stepping On Brake

Recommended Posts

I have a 99 GS300 and am the third owner. Am very happy with it, however, 3 times the car has jumped forward while I had stopped at a light and even though my foot was firmly on the brake. I thought I imagined it until the same thing happened to my BF. I am sure that no mechanic will be able to duplicate this so I am wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else and if they got it fixed.

Is the car actually revving up, or is it about to stall, and then recovers thus increasing rpm suddenly?

I created this post months before the general outcry but have not had the problem since. The car actually jumped forward with the brakes applied, then I was able to recover control before I hit anything. I dont think this 99 GS300 Lexus is included in any recall and I still have it.
