Wire Harness For Trunk Light

Recommended Posts

I have a 2009 RX 350. I am thinking of doing some electrical work in the cargo/trunk area. There are two lights in the area that have power. I would like to find a t-connector or something for tapping into the power. The cable to the light only has two wires.

Can someone tell me where to find one? I don't want to cut any wires if I can help it.

Thanks.

If it's a temporary use, why not use the available cigarette lighter receptacle in the (left) back near the light? I have used it for 12V applications and also - with a converter to 115V AC - for general electric use. Max. power is 120W, I believe. I am not sure that the fuse for the lights in the back would carry more power than that, anyway.
