dudhi
I noticed my coolant was getting low, so went and got the RED coolant from the dealer(He told me before 2003 should use RED). I just bought my 200 lexus es300 last year and can't tell if its using RED Antifreeze or not ( It looks pink to me but I am not sure about it). Question: Can I use my RED one (after diluting of course) in my car without flushing the other kind(if it is pink) ? (Just don't have time right now and its freezing cold out there) Will there be a problem if I mix the two ? TIA.
kingjack133
...i don t think a 50/50 mix of red added would hurt anything, but i suggest you get the system flushed and filled next time you get a chance. Have the system pressure tested to find any leaks. I assume the coolant level went down due to evaporation. Make sure that is the case. Lexusfreak
Starting with the 2002 model year....you should use the pink.....before 2002.....the Toyota red coolant.....you can't mix the two. Owners manual is your friend. ;)
