CanadaCraig
Hi Guys!! :) From what I understand - my 1993 LS400 [and probably all other 400's] can safely carry a maximum load of 900 lbs. [passengers, luggage, etc.] I'm puzzled by this. I weigh 250 lbs. Does that mean that if I was one of Quadruplets - I couldn't safely take my 3 brother's for a drive? Craig!! :)
VBdenny
Pile the boys in there and cruise! I just did a trip to Syracuse with my LS absolutely loaded. Unlike my Chevy, the Lexus did not sag (even though I have regular suspension) nor did I notice any devrease in power. This car was made to carry a load and still cruise. denny
CanadaCraig
Then why the 'do not overload' warning in the owner's manual? Were you taking a chance on that trip to Syracuse? [even if the car seemed to be OK with the added weight] Hurry - I need an answer. Tippy, Tubby and Toppy are waiting in the car!! lol Craig!! :D
VBdenny
Take a chance? are you kidding? I had three people and a full load of christmas stuff plus several suitcase strategically arranged. If they put the seats there, and the space, it better handle it. The LS did perfectly, I never even felt the load, no different than if I was alone in and empty car. Besides I never went over 100.
