bearone Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Hi All, I own a '02 ES300 and am going to trade up to a :) '09 ES350 in 2 weeks and will be taking a 300 mile trip in it, is there any break-in period on the new ES350 the dealer said just in and drive. I know on the old one there was a 1000 mile break-in. Is there any thing in the owners manual about this. Thanks, Bearone
amf1932 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 As taken out of the Owners Manual: Breaking in your new Lexus To extend the life of the vehicle, the following precautions are recommended to observe: For the first 200 miles (300 km): Avoid sudden stops. For the first 600 miles (1000 km): • Do not drive at extremely high speeds. • Avoid sudden acceleration. • Do not drive continuously in the low gears. • Do not drive at a constant speed for extended periods.
