roy365
Hello all, I recently purchased a 2006 GX470 for me and the wifey. The only complaints I had were the lights, or lack of. I have since installed a 5K xenon/HID kit for the lows. Now I want to turn my attention towards the driving/fog lights. I have a set of PIAA Ion crystal yellow bulbs to install. I tried to crawl under the vehicle but couldnt see to figure out the latching system used to secure the bulbs. Is it better to go through the fenders, or to work from the bottom as i tried already? And, can someone explain how to unlatch the bulbs with the annoying wire latch? Much thanks in advance!
roy365
Ok, after much searching I figured out that one must access the fog/driving lights by removing the fender liner for each side. It's pretty tough to try and manage that clip without seeing it really. I reccomend upgrading to a yellow fog/driving light as it is best for foul weather conditions when they are needed most. You can get either the PIAA's or hook up a xenon 3500K HID kit. This isnt recommended because of the cycling from high to low beams. Plus you will literally blind someone with HID fogs on. The reflection is super bright.
