AND WHY WHEN I STARTED PUTTING MY HEATER ON SATURDAY, MY ECT POWER LIGHTS KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF, AND WHEN i AM JUST SITTING IN PARK THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO DO THIS, WHAT DOES IT MEANS? Lexucan Posted October 29, 2008 Share Posted October 29, 2008 OD OFF means Overdrive Off. The overdrive setting is engaged and disengaged by pressing the button on the side of your gear shift. Rhoderman Posted November 1, 2008 Share Posted November 1, 2008 Since OD Off and ECT (Electronically Controlled Transmission) both come from the transmission shifter console area, I'd suspect a bad ground either there or in the harness somewhere.
