...like A Fat Kid Running From A Tae-bo Instructor...

Hi everybody! I've been enjoying the :censored: out of my 03 is300 and ran into a dilemma today;

So I'm driving down a road doing a measly 50 mph when all of a sudden i feel a small "pep" in the steering wheel. Kind of like when you hit a small crack in the road. I thought nothing of it until i noticed that the wheel really liked to jerk itself left and right if i let go...hmmm. I'm right in front of a shell station so i pulled in to try to find out what was going on. I get out and look and see that my tire is nearly flat. I start filling it up and stop after a couple seconds to check the pressure.

Now I'm a car audio guy and when something seems wrong I stop to look at it to better understand whats happening. Thus why I stopped to look at the tire. I kept on getting fatter without air being added. 2+2= :cries: and I start running like a fat kid from and enthusiastic tae-bo instructor. BAM! The sidewall just blew out.

<_< I have learned that flying rubber peices hurt and that i have a pure hatred to scissor type jacks but what I haven't found out is how I can fix it. This happened on my front driver's side tire. My front passenger tire has a slow leak from a finishing nail dug into the meat of the tread. Very slow leak but I really want to get it fixed. The tires I have on there right now are yokohama as430 tires with about 60% of meat on them. I was happy with them but my full size spare has some bridgestone potenza something or others.

Question is should I take the tire with a nail in it to get fixed at a tire shop for $20 and get another as430 for the front (would the tread difference give me noticable issues) OR should i just go to tirerack.com and get two $125 tires to keep the front ones matching?

Thanks again for all you help in advance!
