WhitSTer Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I just received four Michelin X-Ice tires from Tire Rack. Even with $60 shipping from IN to CO they were still considerably cheaper than any local outfits who didn't even carry the 235/50-18 sizes. They also had a special of a $50 AmerExpress gift card if you bought four. Anyway Tire Rack provides a listing of installers in your area by zip code. After a quick scan I noticed there was a Planet Honda dealer a couple miles from me and only charged $12 per wheel/tire change. This includes all mounting/dismounting, balancing AND TPMS REPROGRAMMING, which surprised me. I had them remove the Teleios wheels with tires and mount the new X-Ice snow tires on the OEM wheels, balance and install them. They did all this AND reprogrammed the TPMS sensors for $59.27. Lexus wanted $90+ just to do the wheel/tire swapping then an additional $60+ just to reprogram the TPMS...BS! I get the impression from Lexus and their Service people that they EXPECT loyalty from their customers. What they don't seem to understand is that loyalty should work BOTH WAYS. We've already given them a bunch on the car we bought from them. We don't need to be fleeced on the service too. Whit
