Clear Aftermarket Lamp Quality.

I would like to replace some cracked and scuffed lenses on my '96 LS400 and while searching for replacements I came across clear turn signal/side marker lamps and red/clear tail lamps. I like the look of the clear lamps and have noticed that the prices for front lamps are pretty close among the web stores that deal in aftermarket Lexus parts, but the tail lamps vary greatly, from $87 with a reputable e-bay seller to $249 from a aftermarket Lexus parts shop. For anyone here who has purchased aftermarket clear lamps, what's your opinion of the fit and finish, and did you have any problems during installation because of quality? Also, are there several companies manufacturing clear lamps with differing quality, because I was curious about the huge price spread on tail lamps. Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
