2003 Es300 Questions (2)

Hi....

1. I want to replace the air filter on my 2003 ES300. The owners manual is missing and would like to know where the air filter is and how difficult it is to replace?

2. The CD display reads "error 3" which I believe has to do with a jammed disc. Does this need to go to the dealer for repair or can I do it?

1. Should be behind the glove compartment. Remove both left and right thumb screws inside glove compartment to semi-detached that and behind it, you should have a clear view of the air filter assembly. There should be a white plastic plate that says "TOYOTA". Pull that out and you should have the air filter, replace the old one with the new and put back the assembly inside. Put back the glove compartment and the thumb screws and thats all to it.

2. I once had that error before, and I had a disc that was stuck inside but was visible from the outside. I used a flat tool to slip between the cd and the top to "pry" out the stuck disc.
