chuck l
Unfortunately a turkey flew up out of a ditch today breaking the passenger side outside mirror on my 2001 RX300. The painted housing is ok, but the mirror and inside mechanisms are damaged beyond repair. I need to get the whole assembly off to replace the parts, how do I get it apart? Do I have to remove the inside door panel, if so, any special tools required?
blk_on_blk
It should be as simple as removing the inner door panel, disconnecting the electrical plug, and accessing the mirror bolts from inside the door (with the window rolled up). It should come right off. Here's a picture of what the mirror mount looks like: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=250272822237 So, a turkey flew up and broke your mirror, eh? That's a helluva way to get your mirror broken.
RRocky
I have to replace the entire pax side mirror, so need to get in there. What is the best way to remove the inner door panel to access those mirror mount bolts?
