The Big D Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 What is the difference between the 6.1 Navigation System and the 7.1 Navigation System ? Is it just a Disk or is there a hardware change as well ?
amf1932 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Aside from the newest mapping, there's a change in the firmware. You no longer have to push the "I Agree" button when you first turn on the Nav. You just get a "Caution" screen for about 5 seconds, and then the map comes up on the display.

rhoag4147 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Can you directly update from a Version 2/3 to 7.1????
Step Hen Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Can you directly update from a Version 2/3 to 7.1???? I think you are confusing the generation (2/3) of your navigation hardware with the most current version (7.1) navigation software. But the answer would be yes, you can upgrade directly to version 7.1 on your generation 2/3 system (doesn't matter your current software version).

Do you guys know anything about the non-OEM discs for sale : http://cgi.ebay.com/Lexus-Toyota-Navigatio...1QQcmdZViewItem Also, Is the dvd inside the nav system in the trunk ? Is it easy to replace ? Thanks! Art Beall
