dudhi
Hi, Just bought this car over a month ago and got couple of questions-- may be someone can help me out. When I try to run a car after it has been parked overnight, it makes a squeaking noise from the steering wheel. I don't hear anything from it when I am driving it on the freeway or on a road. Its just in the parking lot itself that I get to hear it. Just wondering if I need to worry about it. Have checked the power steering fluid level and its fine. Also, I took my car for a 30 point inspection and they told me I should replace 3 belts costing me 15 each plus 45 in labor. He didn't say anything about what belts though. Its an 00 ES 300 with 96,000 miles on it.

I hear the noise in RX's, LS's ES's etc. It is caused by some part in the steering shaft that is a rubber seal, doesnt matter. The noise post, I have seen it on every lexus forum at least 3 times. No worries my friend. Where did you take the car?
