soggy60 Posted March 28, 2008 Share Posted March 28, 2008 Installed VAIS system (actually re-install, VAIS stands behind their item! ) I'm not well trained in IPodding :-) , Wife is more advanced than I.... IPod works, but does not play 'playlists'; not sure if play is at random or when music file was loaded to Ipod or what .... Is there a setting on the Ipod we should 'click' to allow the 'playlist to emulate a CD' via the VAIS ? Do I need to cycle the RAND button, on the GX controls ? The VAIS is set to MD mode (per VAIS's instructions) Maybe I need to get the book "IPod for dummies" lol Oh, in the GX470, there's enough room to the right of the glove box, between the plastic frame & wire harness for the SLI to tuck & be out of the way. ( Little felt over wire harness to protect wires & little block ( of 'shipping foam' between SLI & plastic frame ( to keep SLI snugged in place... soggy60 Posted March 29, 2008 Author Share Posted March 29, 2008 Figured it out.... Wife didn't tell me 'exactly'....with system on, she just plugged in Ipod and off it went.... Once we shut everything down (for the night), it works correctly ..... Hint for others: when you first connect IPod to SLI, have everything "Off".
