musttime Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 I owned a 99 Rx300 AWD and traded for a 2004 RX330 AWD. I have a number of problems with the car but the most troublesome is the road noise. I have thought of michelin tires and replacing the Goodyears but I have less than 1000 miles on it. Any thoughts?
SW03ES Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Do you have the 18 inch wheels and what PSI do you run the tires at? The 18 inch wheels are going to give you a significant difference in road noise and ride when compared to your RX300 with 16s.
johnnieliu Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 We have an RX330 with 18" wheels with Michelin tires. When I brought the car in for the 1000 mile service, the service department gave me a loaner RX330 with Goodyear tires. I immediately noticed that the road noise from the Goodyears were much LOWER. Our Michelins are at 32 PSI. I didn't check tire pressure on the Goddyears.
