Powere Steering Pump Leaking

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have owned '98 ES 300 for quite some time and it has just hit the 130K+ spot. Last weekend I had a scheduled maintenance service at my regular Lexus dealer and I was told about the PS pump leaking which needs immediate attention. They said it would cost around $800.00 to fix it.

My question is if anyone in this group ever came across this issue? If yes, did you fix it by yourself/authorized dealer or a private mechanic? 'Cause 800.00 just sounds too exp to me.

Thanks for your time. Appreciate your help.

My 97 ES300 did samething @131,000 . I bought from Autozone rebuilt. Mechanic installed, total cost was $300.

Today miles of car is 306,650 with same PSP.

I wouldn't spent $800 with Stealer. find honest local shop.

Hope that helps.
