The Edmunds website has posted 2 photo illustrations of the new, redesigned 2010 Lexus RX 350. The site only posts photos and there are no specifics. My understanding is that the vehicle will retail in the spring of 2009 and the name will change to the Lexus "Venza", which is a crummy name. I got the alleged name change from some other website. Attached, below, is the link to the photos, click on "pictures" and you'll get a driver's side view of the new Rex. If the link doesn't work, type in same in your browser. Comments are welcome.

Car and Driver: Toyota Venza

I believe it's the Toyota Venza, not Lexus. It's a taller station wagon version of the Camry but they're afraid to call it that. Here's the Toyota link: http://www.toyota.com/upcoming-vehicles/in...l?s_ocid=pdsrch Another of many links: http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/14/detroit...es-edge-murano/ Just Google "Toyota Venza" and you'll find lots of info. Very nice, but a Lexus it's not.

Here is a link to the December Car and Driver mag.

Based on your link, the new "Venza" is a different vehicle than the illustration noted in the Edmunds site. The website where I read the info on the Venza, did not have photo illustrations, just commentary. With reference to the Edmunds site the illustration of the new 2010 Rex has smaller windows when viewed from the driver's side and the roof is noticeably flatter. The more I look at the photo illustration in the Edmunds site, the more the vehicle is growing on me. If it is a legitimate replica of the final version of the redesigned 2010 Rex, I am hoping it is not too wide and boxy-like, as the Nissan Murano or the Infiniti FX 35/36. However, it may be just an illustration and not the final version of the 2010 Rex.

Attached, below, is a link to the redesigned RX for 2010, as a concept car, displayed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The name for the new RX is the Lexus LF-Xh. Once you click on the link scroll down a page and you will see a YouTube video on the vehicle. In addition, there are other links on the page which will give you actual photos. I, for one, love the redesign, save for the front, which I think is bulky and doesn't fit, and the interior, which is a little stodgy and somewhat radical. Reading the commentary from Car magazine, it appears that the Lexus people are not happy with the interior. I concur. Plus, the steering wheel is rather large and appears to be difficult to grasp for women and some men. However, overall I like the redesign and hopefully this will be the new Rex for 2010, which will go on sale in the spring of '09 "with" some changes.

Per the attached below link, more photos. Very nice exterior:

If that is what the interior is going to look like you can count me OUT!!! I prefer the luxury look not the space age look.

The exterior looks hot, but the interior looks unrealistic, something you would only see in I-Robot. By the way, what is LF-XH? Is that a more upscale version of the RX or they just change the name?
