Timing Belt Vs. Timing Chain

I heard that current Lexus ES350 model has switched to Timing Chain from Timing Belt.

What is the difference in terms of maintenance--i.e. life, cost, etc.?

What is the difference in terms of maintenance--i.e. life, cost, etc.?

The timing chain should last the life of the engine with no maintenance.....the timing belt should be replaced every 90k miles. I wish the 3.3L V6 had the timing chain personally but what can you do.
