Gs 300 - Engine Shutdown While Driving

I was driving home from work and my car's engine suddenly shut down. I towed it to the Auto repair shop and was told that the computer board that control the flow of the fuel injection was bad (this caused too much gas was pumped to the engine and it automatic shutdown the endgine.

Does this make sense to you? Please advise.

Get a second opinion - from the dealer - because I don't like the sound of the diagnosis you received. I think they are preparing to rip you off.

somehwere in the past I've heard/read similar stories from SC300 owners, so this MAY be a valid diagnosis. But yes, get a second opinion.

Definately, I too recommend a visit to the Lexus dealer. Replacing the part in question would require a Lexus computer to program it anyway. Otherwise, it would not work in your car at all. This is a job for the pros. Something sounds fishy.
