TV Man
Got my recall notice on the fuel line recall. My dealer had alreay called me and set up an appointment. They did the work and filled my car with gas. It was almost empty ! They told me my engine air filter and air conditioning filter needed changing. $50 and $90 respectivly. Thought that was a little steep. Did the A/C filter really need changing ? I will never know.
motocopter
Got our notice the other day and will have them work it during the 25k mile service - also the one regarding the steering. I haven't replaced my cabin filter yet but did get a price of $70 a while back. The local Toyota dealer sells them for less but at the time the cabin filters were on national back-order. I get my oil filters from the Toyota dealer now - just need to go get the cabin filter and change before the dealer service.
Duckman
I had my car in today so they could tighten up the touchscreen display. It was squeaking in the cold weather...driving me nuts. They let me know about the fuel line service notice and told me that there had been only one reported incident of a gas leak. Not to belittle other auto makers, but it would seem that Chrysler or GM would have not recalled anything until either hundreds or thousands of reported incidents had occured...or worse...a fire. I may be way off on that, but that is my perception...and in terms of buying a car, and a car company, perception for me is reality. This is one of the reasons that I buy Lexus vehicles...the company will take care of you. --Duckman
