Self-installing Hd Radio For '08 Rx400

I purchased an aftermarket HD Radio for my '08 RX400. Has anybody tried installing one into their car? How did you remove the head unit to access the back of the radio? Anybody know how much Lexus might charge to install it for me? Thanks!

wood trim each side pops off by spring clips. what hd radio do you have? were youb assured it would work on lexus system by the seller. lexus systems dont recognize and play just any aftermarket radio without expensive adapters and control boxes to talk to the amp and headunit. lexus dealers will only install parts they sell due to warranty considerations. some dealers even tell customers that installing non lexus equipment will void warranty to scare them into buying their units.

I purchased the DICE Electronics HD Radio Integration Kit. This is actually for an RX350. I can remove the wood trim below the head unit and take off the bracket screws, and the unit still won't slide out. Are there additional screws that are securing the unit to the car?? Anybody have experience removing a head unit from an 07/08 RX350?

were you able to remove the unit? I just bought the DICE ipod integration kit and should be expecting it in the mail shortly. Any help you could provide regarding removal of the unit would be very much appreciated. thanks.

Pop off the wood around the shifter and the wood panel with the cig lighter in it. There are four 10mm bolts holding the radio in place. Two on the bottom and two on each side hidden.
