Roymdudleey
Good Afternoon Everyone, Yesterday (Thanksgiving) someone sideswiped the driver's side of my 98 SC300 and only caught the rearview mirror. I ended up with only broken mirror glass and chipped plastic enclosure assembly. I found a like-new replacement from www.TAPrecycling.com ($100!) which is much better than the $632 quoted by the local stealership. My question: Where is the fastening system to swap out these units? Are the screws under that black plastic "cover strip" underneath the mirror? Or, do you have to go "inside the door panels"? My greatest hope is someone can point me to a step-by-step with snapshots of how to swap out this driver's side, power rear view mirror assembly! Looking forward to hearing from the community. All the Best, Roy Dudley roymdudley@comcast.net
