rockriv
Help, sometimes when I start the car and select the radio control buttons on my steering wheel, it results in the radio audio blasting at it's highest volume. It's quite a shock and a real awakening, and I have to fumble with the radio control to turn it down. I think whenever that happens, I'm probably losing some of my hearing. Anyone experience the same? Know what I can do about it? I can't seem to recreate it, and it happens roughly once a month. Thanks for any advice. :cries: :o -Rich
talwang
Some of the 2002 has the amp issue like yours. It is also on the TSB, but your car is out of warranty unfortunately.
Frankly
I have a similar problem. If I turn the radio down to a low volume in order to talk on the cell phone, occasionally it will suddenly blare at the highest volume. I swear this is going to get me into an accident. Do I replace the AMP or how do I fix it? Regardless of warranty, what is going on? Frank p.s. By the way, I found it best to turn OFF the stereo when it blares, versus trying to spin the dial to the left several times.
