Lexus28
Got my 2000 LX 470 and it rattles (Metal sounds) around 2000 RPM. Dealer said may be Cat converter. Wants $1800 to replace. Need help if there is any other way to repair this? How about MIDAS? I don't trust them. Why would a 2000 LX got this issue? I saw in forum the 1999 got this issue. help. G M E
Typical Lexus/Land Cruiser issue, if I’m guessing correctly; inspect the exhaust system’s heat shield(s) for rattling, use hose clamps, wire mesh grommets and/or reinforcement patches to stabilize and reinforce shield(s). Good luck.
