qha_vn
anybody thinks that we can get kind of signals from the tranny that indicates the current gear No. in some car like Mazda 3 AT, there is a gear number indicator says 1,2,3,4...etc when the tranny shift automatically from 1 to another. looking to the number we know that it is running at which gear and when it shifts to another, quite useful huh? any thoughts? qha_vn
well, i read the repair manual for A340E automatic tranny on 1UZFE. this is quite simple to achieve if you connect a voltmeter to terminal TT (+) and E1 (-) the volt changes will indicate gear position as in table below Gear position/ Terminal TT output voltage 1st gear/ below 0.5v 2nd gear/ 1.5-2.6v 3rd/ 3.5-4.6 O/D/ 5.5-6.9 with some skills on electronics, we can make the output human readable
