mairj23
Just picked up a new battery for my 2000 LX 470...I assume there's nothing special that needs to be done when replacing it? Also, is the battery under the hood or one of rear seats? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you apply 12v to the connectors using a second battery, you won't lose your nav settings. This is what I did. Just make sure you don't short the jump cables. I use a mil-spec Odyssey PC1700 MJT full metal jack glass mat battery (no liquid, completely sealed). They are used by law enforcement and on firetrucks.
