aske Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Hello, the manual states that I can configure my lexus (ES 350 07) in a way that whenever I lock the car, the moon roof closes if open. However, the personalization sheets I received from lexus do not show that option (these are ones I need to go to the dealer for). So how exactly can I get this done ? thx
gordonw Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Not sure where you see that it needs to be configured. It says press button to lock the door, press and "hold" the button to close the windows and the standard moon roof.
aske Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Thanks Gordon. The reason I was asking was that I would only press the lock key for >5 secs if I remembered the moonroof was open. If I did not and walked away with a normal lock, and it rained, I'd have a very wet lexus :-) You are right, the manual does not say this is customizable - I erred. Anyhow, all of this is habit, I guess. Having just migrating from a camry, I need time to get used to the new frills and their associated gotchas.
gordonw Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 It is true you would have to remember that your moon roof is open, but I think you can close the moon roof with your remote also. Now if the smartkey was truly smart, the moon roof would close on its own when it no longer detects your key. :P
