Trunk Release Stopped Working

Hey, my trunk release button on my 94' just stopped working but the gas cap release still works, just wondering if anyone had an easy fix, already searched and could not find anything, but if you know of an existing article please point me there! Thanks.

that is just crazy, lately my button seems to have a mind of its own. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. i would really like to know a fix. so someone please help!

Did you try looking in your glove compartment......There's a lockout button for your trunk release in there. Maybe somebody inadvertently pushed it.

I should have known, yet I never use that button so I did not, I guess Occam's razor strikes again. Thanks that was the solution, now I wonder how it got pressed, never mind that, I am just happy that simple is sometimes the answer!

Thanks, amf1932, I had the same problem today, trunk won't open. i just went to try glove compartment, it worked. =]

On my '93 es, I have to hold the button in the glove box down (in) then push the button on the door to open the trunk.

When the weather gets warmer, I'm probably going to swap out the switch in the glove box.
