What Caused My Radiator To Crack On Top In My Es 300

I was driving and my check engine light came on, it only stayed on for a minute or so, then It went back off, on my way to drop some one off, it came on again, I turned the car off for a minute and then when I started it to take off again, there was all white smoke that came from under the hood, once the car cooled off and I looked under the hood, the radiator was cracked on the top, what could have caused this to happen, I bought a new radiator , put it in and it still ran hot , then I bought a new thermostat put it in and the car is still running hot....please help

Check to see that the electric fan that cools the radiator is coming on when the car is running hot. If not you need to replace the cooling fans and control relay.
