Shake N Bake
When I put my shifter in the D position on the floor, the indicator in the dash displays "4". While driving it changes through all of the gearsfine, but will not go into 5th/D. What is the deal? This happened today while I was manually shifting and now I can't get it back into "D". Please help!

Hopefully it won't be too expensive (warranty is expired of course).
backwoods lex
The 2000 ES is a four speed automatic. There is no fifth gear. I wonder why it says 4?

Actually, I made a typo on the subject line. I have a 2002 ES 300 with only 61000 mile on it.
