Another Vvt-i Question

Recommended Posts

I've been looking around for the best solution on turbo'ing a '99 SC300. I don't want to do a TT swap because i don't have the liberty nor the time or money to do so.

I was just looking for ways to disable VVTi on the later model SC300's

Would it be as simple (kinda) as replacing the head with an older one say from a '96 and replacing the ecu, cams and gears, etc?

Or is that more difficult and a waste of time compared to a 2jzgte swap?

I've already looked through at the different ecu's that control vvti but i'm a little worried about the longevity of the engine even with a high-grade ecu.

Thanx in advance.
