Why Does My Car Over Heat When I Turn My A/c On?

hey guys,

I finally found a used compressor, got it put on and everything is good and cold. but the car over heats after 5 mins of a/c. unless im on the highway and the rpm is high. surely it has soemthing to do with my fan, but what and how can i fix it?

I just had a similiar post, all advice points to the solenoid that kicks in your hydraulic fan from low to high while your driving around town. On the highway my car stays right in the middle of the gauge ,but when I get off the highway it starts to creep up to hot telling me my fan isn't kicking it into high. Just replaced the fan motor also $260. I hope it's just the solenoid switch or one of the wires came loose for some reason. Good luck.
