qha_vn Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Hi all, the seat belt light is on when i turn on key to acc (normal for lamp self test) when i start the engine without wearing the seat belt, seat belt goes off??? is the car cheated by previous owner? and how can i tell her the truth thanks
leximus Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Mine does the same. I have a 91. I think it is standard. I believe the seatbelt light would stay lit when there is a problem somehow with the seatbelt. Somehow, I think it is electronically controlled. I don't have my manual downloaded on my work computer, but I do at home so I'll reply later on with the specifics if possible.
qha_vn Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 thanks leximus, appreciate that you could check in the manual. i feel something wrong cos newer cars have it lit until driver's belt is worn
leximus Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Sorry, qha_vn. I got caught up trying to open my pool for this weeken'd festivities. I will look definitely later this afternoon or early tonight.
litesoarer Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 i think the older models of these cars just "warn" you to put your seatbelt on, as oppose to nagging you until you do it.
