Pcv

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a 1998 Lexus ES300 model with 135000, I want to change my PCV valve, but the one I got from the dealer is plastic one.I hardly able to find the location of this PCV valve as I am looking all the time for plastic one. Later I took it to the dealer and he said it has the metalic screw in one type. Even this is metalic do I need to replace it?

I am getting poor milage and behaves some times pulling the car to little front at lower speeds like rough idling loss in power. but not all the times I see this.I recently did fuel injection cleaning, intake manifold,IACV and EGR valve with some mechanic for $100. Even after I didn't see this symptom goes away. Do I suspect job done by mechanic?

If I change the PCV, do I see any improvement ?

Thanks in advance for your valuable advice folks.
