Cher Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hello, I am new to this forum, but it looks like you guys have a lot of good information here. My '93 ES300 has started bucking rythymically or surging when I put it in gear or try to take off from a stop. It continues until I get up to speed. I searched for information on the idle air valve, which someone told me may be the problem, but it looks like it only controls idle performance. I did notice a smallcrack, or hole in the rubber tube between the air cleaner and the throttle body? Would that cause repeated surging on acceleration? It does not do it when I place the transmission in reverse or back up. Strange. Thanks for any suggestions or help.
92Lex Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 How many miles are on the car? Has the fuel filter been replaced?
Cher Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 How many miles are on the car? Has the fuel filter been replaced? The car has almost 90,000 miles. I am not sure if filter has ever been replaced. That sounds like an inexpensive solution if it works. do you know where it is located on my car? Thanks.
