2001 Lx470 Mark Levinson Sound Problem

Hi everyone.

I'm having an highly erratic problem with my ML sound system on my 2001 LX470: The sound started disappering few month ago, and eversince it has been getting worse.

What happens now is that after having started the engine, approx 3-4 min later, all the speaker sound disappears and could be gone for minutes...! (power on the headunit remains on). Sometimes if and when the sound finally returns, it could be with a very different volume setting.

The problem dosn't to be caused by a loose connection, I've checked all the connectors on the amp.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what my problem might be, ...all suggestions will be highly appreciated :)

Just for information: I don't have either a NAV or phone set-up installed.
