Haik
Hello everyone My Dad currently owns a 2000 ES300 and a couple months ago his front right wheel hit a curb. Alignment and everything seem fine however there is a distinct *clanky* noise coming from the suspension whenever he runs over a bump or anything similar. It usually happens when the car is cold. What can it be? I'm currently thinking it's the strut mount. http://replacement.autopartswarehouse.com/...unt&dp=true Anyone have any ideas? khhoang
hi and welcome to LOC. check and make sure the 3 strut mount bolts and particularly the big center bolt is tightened to spec. i had a clanking metal noise that developed from the front right wheel area once (audible whenever going over bumps) and came to find out that center bolt needed re-tightening. so start with that.
