PIONEERSUBY Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 someone please let me know whats going on i took my subwoofer out and it says pioneer and my amplifier says pioneer but my door speakers and headunit says nakamichi whats going on can someone tell me what i need to do because i want to change my amplifier .. im gettin a new four channel amp and a new headunit and it would help to kno wat colors is the output and imput into the amp is.. also what color is what speaker? thanks guys 95 ls400 for some reason the 95 ls400 nakamichi and pioneer parts were somehwat interchangeable. ther headunit cd changer and 4 ohm door speakers could be replaced when broken by either brand. the subwoofer was 2 ohms pioneer and 6 ohms nakamichi so the amps had to stay the same as the sub. so you have a pioneer system with nakamichi parts replacing the headunit and the door speakers and maybe the cd changer if there is dac hooked on the back of the changer. i hope your getting at least a 2000.00 aftermarket system. anything less is going to sound worse than the 5000.00 list price system your replacing. cheap systems might sound louder but not as much clarity. also the japan made nakanichi head unit will be playing well into the next several decades thats why the prevoius opewner choose it over the pioneer head which only last 10 years(only!) . the aftermarket will be lucky to be working in 2 years time. maybe just adding some huge subs and aftermarket sub amp would do the trick.
