Lnino
hello, i just purchased my first lexus and had my first setback dealt to me already.... somewhere during shipment someone stole the keys, something from around the ignition, and my shift knob... i am in the process of trying to find a place to make keys and flash my ecu... i found a place that flashes the ecu for 140 bucks. my dilemna now, is i dont know what it is that i need to replace around the ignition. is it the immobilizer? i have included pics, so maybe someone can shed some light on the subject. and possibly any suggestions on where i could get the parts so i can avoid dealer prices.... thanks in advance nino if you notice they also cut the wire harness
Lnino
no idea what those wires were attached to huh? i guess i will take a trip to the dealer and see if they can tell me what it is, so i can start hunting the part down... :(
GuyTelefunken
They do not look like standard Lexus wiring, nor are they of colors associated with this area of the car. They look like aftermarket wire colors from a remote-start or alarm system. The white nylon cable tie is a dead giveaway. Follow the cables and look for aftermarket garbage.
