artbuc Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Getting ready to replace rear pads on my 99 RX AWD. Based on a suggestion from a poster on this forum, I checked-out the RockAuto web site. To my surprise they do not offer original Toyota parts. They do offer a semi-metallic pad from Beck/Arnley for $25.79 plus S&H. I have never heard of this company. Can anyone speak to their quality? I have owned Toyota/Lexus cars for over 30 years. Only a few times have I used anything except original Toyota pads. In each of these "experiments" I was disappointed and ended up removing the aftermarket pads. My most recent bad experience was with Hawk ceramics on the front of my RX. I am not willing to use an aftermarket pad such as Beck/Arnley unless someone can assure me they will perform well. Thanks for your help.

The Lexus rear pads are $45 from Irontoad. I received them in 2 days.
