lextsy Posted December 1, 2006 Share Posted December 1, 2006 Hey all, I own a 1998 LS400 with 115k miles on it. I just put it in for the major service and was told that the tranny oil was dirty (even though lexus should have been replacing it I bet they didnt) and that the gearbox mount is broken. I have rang Lexus who have one for about 90 bucks but my mechanic said he has one from a v8 soarer ( sc400) perhaps 91-94 model. Does anyone know if the gearbox mounts from an early LS400 or sc v8 will fit onto the 1998 gearbox even though its a 5 speed? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nc211 Posted December 1, 2006 Share Posted December 1, 2006 I myself wouldn't take the chance, as you'll probably only be saving $40 in parts anyway if you go with the used one.
