Gearbox Mount Broken

Hey all,

I own a 1998 LS400 with 115k miles on it.

I just put it in for the major service and was told that the tranny oil was dirty (even though lexus should have been replacing it I bet they didnt) and that the gearbox mount is broken.

I have rang Lexus who have one for about 90 bucks but my mechanic said he has one from a v8 soarer ( sc400) perhaps 91-94 model.

Does anyone know if the gearbox mounts from an early LS400 or sc v8 will fit onto the 1998 gearbox even though its a 5 speed?

I myself wouldn't take the chance, as you'll probably only be saving $40 in parts anyway if you go with the used one. I'd spend the extra nickle to know you have the right part..and is brand spankin' new, not used and compressed.
