lexus082 Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 The car has 180,000 miles and the mounts as fas as I know have never been changed, yet. But I was turning the engine over and while it was cranking/running there was a violent jerk (movement) so I think I'm probably due for some new motor mounts very soon. I could feel this through my foot that was rested on the floor board. Turned off the car and tried to replicate it but nothing. Pretty sure it was the engine shifting around or something. Engine mounts are on my list just haven't got around to it yet. I did however replace the tranny mount, but that might need to be replaced again. It was probably under more strain if the other mounts are failing.
Chase Croft Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 same problem here on ocassion, id be interested in an answer to this as well, good question
lexus082 Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 I'm starting to think it may be related to the starter. Not sure at this point. It did it again today. It may just be starter related. Everything else is normal. Just every so often I get an unusual "start" when I turn the key.
