pocketmuffler Posted September 12, 2006 Share Posted September 12, 2006 hey i just had to replace the alternator on my 92 sc400. my buddy accidentally put in an alternator for a 92 ls400. they are both 100amp and he said they looked the same (as far as pulley size, etc.). the car seems to run fine now. should i worry about this? my concern is that there were two different part numbers for these alternators at auto zone and i dont want to switch it out again unless this might cause problems.
